Group Healings

The saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”, is beautiful, true and overused for a culture that is increasingly disconnected and isolated from one another. I’m sure we need to hear it over and over so we can put into practice. In healing as well, it takes a village. Many of the occurrences in our lives that cause imbalance, distress and dis-ease occur within relationships and community contexts. It is important to heal them in community as well. We need one another in interdependent and supportive ways to witness our healing, to stand by us and to help us to keep our agreements.

Some of the group healings currently offered here at Drumsong are:

A Shamanic Healing Circle meets here every other week (currently on Thursdays). We create sacred space, learn and utilize shamanic healing arts to heal, ourselves, those who make requests for healing, families, community, earth and universe.

Arapaho Boys and Girls Sweat Lodge ceremony of purification is available here by request as well. In this group healing we work with the healing energy of mother earth and all the elements , supporting each other as we pray individually and together in this sacred turtle lodge (see photos in land section).

We hold Native American Pipe Ceremony to be in right relations with ourselves, creator and others, to seek and give forgiveness, to honor the truth of who we are and what we have come here to do. It is a time to feel and emanate peace beginning from within so that we can be the change we wish to see in the world and take right action.

Fire ceremonies are a regular occurrence here and the focus of each can be different but the intention is always about to let go of what no longer serves us (dis-ease, habits, relationships, thoughts, beliefs, grief, suffering), to put it in the fire and to replace that with what we wish to grow in our lives. We honor the seasons, certain multi-cultural festivals/holidays. We are always honoring the light and transformative power of spirit to assist us in the ways we ask for and are willing to receive. The newest addition are Munay-Ki fire ceremonies coming from Andean lineages as brought here by Alberto Villoldo, PH.D.
